THE REALITY OF XIN LI PSYCHOLOGY

In order to facilitate your immersion into the universe of ancient Chinese psychology, it is necessary to clarify a few points:

• Ancient Chinese psychology is completely independent from traditional Chinese medicine, both in its content and organization.
In fact, although both may share some main principles, the mechanisms that they treat are specific as are their therapy tools. It is possible to consider treating the mind through the body by using needles or plants and treating the body through the mind by cleansing and strengthening it. Both have their use, and their own purpose. They are complementary.
If a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine has studied his field for many years and passed exams, it is the same for Xin Li psychology. Each one must respect the other (work ethics) and neither may pretend to understand that which he has not studied.

• In China, ancient Xin Li psychology wasn’t (until recent years) taught in its totality, because it is a psychology that exams the conscience, freedom of speech of the personality, and that provides concretes means for this. Some aspects may be studied in different universities. China’s actual development shows the possibility of the development of Xin Li studies within the next few years.

• In the West, Xin Li psychology has rarely been taught, because it is poorly known until up to these last few years. Four years ago, it began to instigate interest among in universities. It is now a research subject and official subject of study. The Annual International Congress of Xin Li Chinese Psychology has existed since 2007, first being held in France.

• The Academy of Chinese Psychology of Hong Kong remains the organism of reference in the world for the development, teaching, and conservation of Xin Li psychology. This organism made up of Chinese and Western members, is divided into two headquarters: East and West.

• The agnostic characteristic of Xin Li is pure.

• Modern Taoism originates from its original principles; it is not a reference for Xin Li.

• Xin Li Chinese psychology was born in ancient China but its principles are very close to many great civilisations that have since disappeared. It is most importantly universal, and concerns people of all cultures and countries.
